No, my fees are out of pocket. I will provide you with a monthly “superbill,” which is a document listing the details of the service provided, which you can submit to your insurance company and can credit towards your out-of-network/out-of-pocket benefits. It’s your responsibility to check with your insurance company to understand your benefits. If you would like assistance submitting your superbills, I recommend a company called Thrizer, and can provide you with more information upon request.

We begin with a phone call to discuss your needs and goals and to see if we’re a good fit. For individual and parent-only sessions, we can begin as soon as scheduling is available. For child and family therapy, I start with an assessment process that includes individual sessions for the parent and the child, as well as family sessions that are conducted together. Upon completion of the child/family intake process (this usually takes 6-8 sessions), I’ll have a conversation with you and provide recommendations that will help you decide where you’d like to begin in the child/family therapy process.
All of my paperwork is done electronically so you’ll receive a secure link to the client portal upon scheduling.

I adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality laws and keep all of your information confidential and records secure. I utilize a HIPAA-compliant electronic record system for all paperwork. I never disclose any information to any third party without your permission. Also, due to the nature of HIPAA, it’s important that we refrain from other kinds of relationship while we are in a therapeutic relationship. If there are known conflicts of interest, we will discuss them in our initial phone call.

Therapy is a completely voluntary process — you can end the relationship at any time you choose for any reason. Due to the relational nature of therapy, it’s beneficial to have conversations with me when you feel like you are nearing the end of your therapy sessions, and I will support you in making the transition.
Many of my clients have noticed an inner sense when their time is coming to an end — along with experiencing healthier relationships, feeling more supported and stable, and that your capacity has grown.

Intake sessions, parent sessions, and adult and teen individual sessions can all be conducted virtually at any time. Child therapy will depend on the nature of the chosen modality whether or not virtual therapy is the best option. Energy and intuitive work will vary depending on how we decide to conduct the sessions, but I do prefer in person.
